Terms of sale

These terms apply to stays booked with Gîte les Marmottes, a mountain guesthouse (gîte d'étape et de séjour) in Saint-Dalmas, 06420 Valdeblore, France.

1. Booking

Booking requests are made online (or by phone). Each request is reviewed personally by the owners, who accept or decline it according to the actual availability of the house. Acceptance is notified by email, together with a secure link to pay the deposit.

2. Deposit

The booking becomes final upon payment of the deposit, whose amount is stated with your request, through the secure payment link. The link has a limited validity period, stated in the acceptance email: past that deadline, the request expires and the dates are released.

In accordance with article 1590 of the French Civil Code, sums paid are « arrhes » (a deposit): if the client cancels, the deposit is retained by the guesthouse; if the guesthouse cancels, it is refunded at twice its amount.

3. Rates and payment

Rates are per person per night, half board (night, breakfast and table d'hôtes dinner), according to the current rates. The local tourist tax is charged in addition. The balance is paid at the guesthouse. [TO BE COMPLETED — payment methods accepted on site.]

4. Cancellation and changes

5. Your stay

Arrival and departure times are given in the confirmation email; late arrivals are possible if you call ahead. In dorms, a sleeping bag liner is required. The house is non-smoking. [TO BE COMPLETED — pet policy.]

6. Disputes
